There she is, Miss CNN
This is something I just couldn't wait to post about, so I'm not. It seems some bright person at mediabistro had the idea to hold a contest for "Hottest Female On-Airs" (as in newscasters). Obviously, Ms. Tatton, co-host of the Inside the Blogs segment on the late, great CNN show Inside Politics, had to be included, and she was. Unfortunately for Ms. Tatton's vast fandom, the poll closed shortly after I posted the link. Curse this inferior posting of mine! So the results are in, and our dear Ms. Tatton placed 4th. Which upon closer look, is really quite respectable. You see, the top three finishers were from the Big 3 networks ABC, CBS, and NBC, but Ms. Tatton beat everyone else. Also, there were a whopping 4 entries from CNN, which surely split their in-house vote; all the other organizations only had one entry except ABC, which had just two. If the CNN people had been able to vote as a block, their votes would have totalled 18%, or second place. So Abbi, the dice was loaded from the start. Not to mention the suspiciously numerous votes of the winner; methinks an in-house e-mail directing employees to vote might have been sent to "protect the brand name." So I say: not too "shabbi", especially since it's only been a short while that she's been reporting. So let me make it official and crown Ms. Tatton "Miss CNN." She gets a company apartment and car, and has to tour news bureaus the world over, and Ted Turner is hoping for a dinner date.
In other news, I somehow forgot to mention in yesterday's post that on Friday, Ms. Tatton again displayed the necklace that I am obsessed with describing properly. You may recall my earlier pathetic attempts at capturing its lustre (not unlike my pathetic attempts to capture Ms. Tatton's). Friday it was even more difficult, due to the fact that Ms. Tatton wore a red vest-top that had a very tight V opening by the neck, barely allowing any viewing of said necklace. From what I saw of it, it looked like only one strand, not two (but maybe they were just bunched together), and this time there were indeed ornaments strung around it, although not necessarily in pairs like before. What with the reflections from the klieg lights and its hiding behind her collar, it was well-nigh impossible to get much of a look. Better luck next time, I guess.

I agree with all your fawning raves for Ms. Tatton, but where are the photos?
